Matchday Live Docs

Account & sign-in #

Your account is what remembers you on your club's channel: your plan, your saved details, and where you left off in a video. This page covers creating an account, signing in and out, recovering a forgotten password, updating your details, and the extra security you can add at sign-in.

Everything here lives under Account on the web and in the app. You only ever need one account per club channel.

Creating an account #

You create your account on your club's Matchday Live channel. If you have not found it yet, our getting started guide shows you where to look.

  1. Open Sign up

On your club's channel, select Sign up. Enter your email address, choose a password, and add your name.

  2. Confirm your email

We send a short code to your email address. Enter it on the next screen to activate your account. The code keeps your account safe by proving the email is really yours.

Signing in and out #

Select Sign in, enter the email address and password you signed up with, and select Sign in again. If you have turned on extra sign-in security, you will be asked for a one-off code as well.

Open Account and select Sign out. This is worth doing on any device that is not yours, such as a shared computer or a friend's TV, so nobody else can use your account.

Resetting a forgotten password #

If you cannot remember your password, you do not need to contact anyone. You can reset it yourself from the sign-in screen.

  1. Select Forgot password

On the sign-in screen, select Forgot password? and enter the email address on your account.

  2. Check your email

We send a reset code to that address. Open the email and copy the code.

  3. Set a new password

Enter the code, then choose a new password and confirm it. You can now sign in with the new password.

Updating your details #

You can change your name and email address whenever you need to.

  1. Open your profile

Go to Account and select Profile.

  2. Edit and save

Update your name or email address, then save. If you change your email, we send a code to the new address so you can confirm it. Your email stays the same until you enter that code.

To change your password while you are signed in, go to Account, open your security settings, enter your current password, then your new one. Choose something at least eight characters long that mixes upper and lower case letters and numbers.

Keeping your account secure #

A few simple habits keep your account, and your subscription, safe.

For extra protection, some clubs let you turn on a second step at sign-in. With it switched on, after your password you also enter a one-off code, so even someone who knew your password could not get in. You will find this in your account security settings if your club offers it.

I think someone else has used my account. What should I do?

Change your password straight away from your account security settings, which signs the account out elsewhere. Turn on the extra one-off code at sign-in if your club offers it, and if you still see anything you do not recognise, contact your club's support team.
