Matchday Live Docs

Getting started #

Matchday Live is how you watch your club's live and on-demand sport. Every club runs its own channel, with its own look, its own fixtures, and its own video library. When you watch your team, you are watching on their channel rather than on one big shared service.

This page takes you from never having used Matchday Live to watching your first match, in order. If you already have an account, skip ahead to the section that matches where you are.

What you can watch, how much it costs, and which plans are offered are all set by your club. The steps below are the same everywhere, but the exact wording and prices you see may differ.

What you need #

Before you start

    • A device to watch on: a phone, tablet, computer, or smart TV
    • A reliable internet connection
    • An email address you can check, for setting up and confirming your account
    • A payment card, if your club's content is paid

Finding your club's channel #

There is no single Matchday Live address you sign in to. You go in through your own club.

From your club's website

Look on your club's main website for a link such as Watch, TV, or Live. That takes you straight to their Matchday Live channel.

From the app store

Search the App Store or Google Play for your club's name. If they have an app, it opens directly onto their channel.

Creating your account and watching your first match #

The whole journey, from signing up to pressing play, looks like this.

A club's Matchday Live home screen showing live and upcoming matches.
Your club's home screen is where live, upcoming, and recent content all appear once you are signed in.
  1. Open your club's channel

Go to your club's Matchday Live site or open their app. You will see their branding and a Sign up or Sign in option near the top.

  2. Sign up

Select Sign up, then enter your email address, a password, and your name. Accept the terms to continue.

  3. Confirm your email

We send a short code to the email address you used. Enter it on the next screen to activate your account. If it has not arrived after a minute, check your spam folder.

  4. Choose your access

Pick how you want to watch. Most clubs offer a recurring plan, and many also offer a one-off pass for a single match. Enter your card details to confirm.

  5. Start watching

Go to the match or video you want and press play. Live matches show a Live label, and replays and other videos are ready whenever you are.

Finding your way around #

Once you are in, a few areas appear on most clubs' channels.

Home section

Featured and recommended content, what is live now, and what is coming up.

Live and fixtures section

Matches you can watch now, plus the schedule of what is to come.

Collections section

Replays, highlights, interviews, and other on-demand video, grouped to browse.

Account section

Your profile, your plan and billing, and your sign-in settings.

If something is not working #

If a video will not start or you cannot sign in, the quickest fixes are usually to check your internet connection, refresh the page, and make sure your subscription is active. Our troubleshooting guide walks through the most common problems.
